On Thursday, February 19, 2015 was held the ninth edition of the gastronomic evening Wine & Cheese by Naissance Renaissance. Immex is proud to have again been a major partner of the evening which was animated by Martin Larocque, publisher, actor, host and lecturer and under the honorary presidency of Bruno Vachon, business owner of the family business Decoration King and municipal councilor for the City of Sherbrooke, Anne-Marie Proulx, advertising consultant with Cogeco Diffusion, and Maya Couture of Decoration King.
This main annual fundraiser for Naissance Renaissance has surpassed the goal and raised almost $55,000. These funds will allow Naissance Renaissance Estrie to ensure the sustainability of the program Couches & Hugs accompanying needy families during and after their pregnancy by providing free prenatal classes, workshops of awakening and early stimulation, respite home and the opportunity to attend the support desk La Corde à Linge. Last year, nearly 700 Sherbrooke families benefited from the services of the program.
As in previous years, the evening’s guests had the opportunity to taste delicious gourmet bites concocted by Alain Labrie, the chef-owner of the restaurant Table du Chef, Christian Fréchette, chef-owner of the restaurant Da Toni, Jean -Patrice Fournier, chef-owner of Le Piment Rouge traiteur. The wine and cheese agreement was provided by Ghislain Paquet, owner of the Fromagerie de la Gare and François Dionne, Da Toni Restaurant sommelier.
