On Thursday, February 20, 2014, Naissance Renaissance held its eighth edition of the gourmet evening Wine & Cheese. Immex is proud to have been a major partner of the evening which was moderated with humor and tenderness by Mr. Martin Larocque, editor, actor, presenter and speaker and under the honorary presidency of Mr. Bruno Vachon, owner of the family business Decoration King and Councillor for the City of Sherbrooke.
The main annual fundraiser for Naissance Renaissance exceeded the goal and raised almost $58,000 during the evening. These funds will support services provided by the organization, including home respite care. Service little known but very popular with families who use it. “The home respite care is part of the essential features of perinatal centers resources. Give a hand, from the first days or weeks of a child’s life, is to give him every chance of a good start, “according to the president of the board of Naissance Renaissance Estrie, Maxime Gauthier.
As in past years, the organizing committee has surrounded himself with a team of chefs in preparing an out of the ordinary menu for the gourmet evening Wine & Cheese. Thus, the menu, carefully arranged with wine and cheese, was concocted by a team of outstanding professionals composed of Alain Labrie, chef- owner of the restaurant La Table du Chef, Christian Frechette, chef-owner of Restaurant Da Toni, Jean -Patrice Fournier, chef and owner of red Pepper catering, with the help of Jessica Ouellet, sommelier at Chez Auguste and Ghislain Paquet, owner of the Fromagerie de la Gare.
